This week’s offers:

Daily drivers (Great watches for under 2000 EUR):

Oris Diver Sixty-Five

Oris looks back at their iconic model that was launched in 1965 with the Oris Sixty-Five collection. With a large resemblance to the vintage model, the Sixty-Five collection has mostly adapted to the current times by growing in size.

This Oris model is a stainless steel dive watch that is waterproof up to 100 meters. It’s not the most impressive depth rating, but it’s enough for 99.9% of end users, if not more. It comes on a riveted bracelet, just as the original model. With a 42-mm case, the Sixty-Five has grown into the 21st century and comes with a curved, vintage-inspired sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating.

Enthusiast’s corner: Rare or exceptional timepieces

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph

Audemars Piguet, one of the big players from the watch industry, is located in La Brassus in the Valleé de Joux, an area known as the home of several famous watch manufacturers. Their Royal Oak Concept Tourbillon Chronograph is a rare find and quite a unique piece. It’s housed in a 44-mm pink gold case and waterproof up to 100 meters so you can (theoretically) use it for any activity.

This watch features a hand-wound, in-house movement with central hours and minutes combined with a chronograph seconds hand. The chronograph minutes are displayed linearly at 3 o’clock on the dial. The tourbillon is on the other side of the dial and held by a bridge shaped similarly to the bridge for the linear minutes display. With a power reserve indicator at the top and selection indicator at the bottom, this sure is a watch that stands out. It stays on your wrist with a hand-stitched large scale alligator strap with folding clasp.

Steal of the week: Great value for the money

Rolex Explorer II

With ever increasing prices, it’s nice to find an affordable piece from a brand you can never go wrong with. The Rolex Explorer II might be one of their under-evaluated models, yet it’s nearly the exact same watch as a GMT and has the same powerful movement.

It comes with a 24-hour GMT bezel that displays the time in a second time zone. It’s the perfect travel watch that still comes at an relatively affordable prize. This model is also available with a white dial which is slightly unusual for sports watches.
